‘Luna’ Moon Rabbit necklace ✨🐰🌙

When I was a child..

when the moon was full and the stars sparkled against the darkness … I used to gaze up to the night sky ..

I would stare, longingly at the moon…

Hoping beyond hope to catch a glimpse of the moon rabbit …

then, like magic she would appear to me… her long ears and her back feet curled around …and a pestle and mortar at her feet.

In Chinese folklore the moon rabbit was companion to the moon Goddess Chang`e  and spent her time pounding ingredients for the elixir of life.

To many she represents rebirth and resurrection…

I love the idea that she may impart some of her wisdom in the rebirth each of us experience every day … each day we wake up with the opportunity to become better, happier… kinder.

So here is our interpretation of the Moon bunny… ‘Luna’ … curled around a gold plated crescent moon, feet in the air, long ears flying in the night sky and a curl on her bum.

Luna is solid sterling silver hallmarked at the Edinburgh assay office. She is set onto an 18” chain with a little star for company.

( please let us know in the handy box at checkout if you’d like a different length and which catch you’d prefer 🐰✨)
