‘Lilias’ Broomstick Necklace - moonstone

£120.00

‘Lilias’ Witches Broomstick (moonstone)

Imbued with natural energy from the wild woods, our little flowery ‘besom’ will help clear your energetic pathway as you travel through your day. 🧹✨

A wry smile to hold around your neck as you encounter situations that just make you wish you could flick your wand and ‘poof’ a toad … or a mouse .. or simply a disappearance!

Lilias is named after Lilias Adie. A Scottish woman who came from Fife in Scotland and was in 1704 accused of witchcraft and held and tortured in prison.

Lilias is one of the thousands of people, mostly women murdered as witches in Scotland and around the world in the Middle Ages. Often, little is know about their personal histories and their needless deaths have been turned into folklore and clumsy stereotypes of witches with green skin and pointy hats.

We honour these women with our little solid silver flowery broomsticks, set in a 17” oxidised silver chain with stars and a choice of a crescent moon (see separate listing) or a little pear shaped moonstone or labradorite (or ask if you have another preference) stone hanging from the broom.

Broomstick - 70mm long. Sterling silver 🌙✨

If you’d like to know more about the witch trials in Scotland along with the campaign to grant the thousands of people accused of witchcraft a formal pardon and a memorial check out the ‘Witches of Scotland’ podcast wherever you get your podcasts … it’s fascinating! ✨🧹
